The title reflects that this is one of three paintings done from a single wide angle photo. Poppies are so striking, and yet single varieties have few individual petals. This variety is a common roadside wildflower in southern France. I've been somewhat distracted from my blog but have been painting and will be posting more for the coming week. This piece (10 x 10) is oil on deep canvas and the painting wraps around the sides.
